Ulricehamn is one of the largest winter resorts in south Sweden. Winter athletes come here for both cross-country and downhill skiing.

The Ulricehamn Ski Centre features 7 skilifts, 6 runs, a hill for children and beginners and snowboardland with Big Jump. Ski schools and activities for kids are also arranged here. When you get cold just visit the skihut.

The skicentre offers high-tech snowmaking facilities to guarantee snow on the mountain after a few cold days.

The restaurant is a popular meetingpoint and affords stunning views of Åsunden and Ulricehamn.

Ulricehamn has a long tradition as a cross-country skiing centre due to its location in the highlands of south Sweden and it also features a high school for skiing. Many competitions have taken place here and Denmark has organized several of its championships here.

Ideal conditions and well-groomed slopes of various levels of difficulty invite you to ski with your family. Even elite athletes will find training facilities here.

There are more than 210 km of groomed cross-country skiing trails spread over 15 centres with the largest at Lassalyckan Friluftsområde where artificial snow can be added to the trails when needed. www.uifskidor.nu

 

 

 

It is not only skiing that Ulricehamn has to offer during the winter. Lake Sämsjön is cleared from snow while the ice is safe for long-distance skating.
